Chapter One - SylviaEdit
I stared at the pen. It was all I can stare at, because I was concentrating. I was concentrating on it because, well, I was trying out my powers. I gasped greatly, because the pen went up in the air.
I smiled, moving my hands in different directions to see where the pen would go. Every time I moved my hand, it would go in the way my hand was going. But, then my smile turned into a frown when I heard my mother yelling at my brother.
I walked down the stairs to see what was going on. I stopped at the last seven steps to hear what exactly my mother was yelling at my brother for. But, I felt too bad for him, so I walked down the stairs fully.
"Sylvia never failed us in this way, did she?" my mother yelled. Oh goodness, I'm apart of an argument. My brother crossed his arms, "So?" "I am so grateful that your father isn't here to hear about this."
"Is this how you talk about dad?" my brother said. I got angry, and yelled something.
But when I did, the floor started shaking. Was it a new power? Probably not, because I just got my new power yesterday. My face dropped, and I ran out the door. I didn't want to be apart of that household anymore.
I ran. I ran farther than I've ever ran before. Of course, I didn't know where exactly I was running, but I was running, alright! I stopped in my tracks, exhausted from the running I was doing.
Luckily, I was by a bus stop, so I had a good chance of a a bus driving by any minute now. Right? When a bus actually drove by, I walked in. The bus driver asked for money, but I bit my lip.
"Um. I don't have any money." I said. She looked at me. "Okay, sweetheart, you look absolutely exhausted. I'll let it slide this time. But, if you do it again, me and you are gonna have a problem. Now, where are we driving?"
"Anywhere but here." I replied. She rolled her eyes, "Be more specific." I rolled my eyes back at her, "Next state up?" She nodded, and I sat down in the first seat on the right.
"Out of curiosity. What's your name?" she asked. "My name is Sylvia. Sylvia Jackson." I replied. She continued to drive, and I, well, fell asleep for the rest of the ride.
